Pickering House Inn, Wolfeboro, NH
By Dan Martel, P.E.
Team Engineering is proud to have been part of the team that renovated a vacant historic landmark into a beautiful boutique hotel, the Pickering House Inn. Team Engineering’s design modernized the wood structure and stone foundations, supplementing and improving to improve on its structural integrity for new use while maintaining its historic character. We worked intimately with owners Peter and Patty Cooke, who also designed the new architecture and interiors. The transformation is nothing short of dramatic – a structure that was derelict just three years ago now accommodates a “light-hearted luxury” inn, surely a centerpiece of Wolfeboro’s quaint downtown.
