Performing an Engineered Building Survey for Crisis Center of Central NH
By Eric Battey, Project Manager
Earlier this year we were approached by Jennifer Pierson, Executive Director of the Crisis Center of Central New Hampshire. The CCCNH is a non-profit organization providing shelter and advocacy to victims/survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. They were in need of realistic expansion options as they had quickly outgrown the 1870’s building in Concord, NH which houses their administrative offices. A previous evaluation of the building suggested costs in excess of $500K which did not make fiscal sense.
Team Engineering performed an Engineered Building Survey which provided a concise record of the building condition and a 10-year projection of repair/ replacement capital needs. This information was helpful as they make the hard decisions of expansion/renovation versus relocation.
