Winnipesaukee Lakehouse Construction Update #2
By Nate Rogers, E.I.T.
This is the second construction progress update for one of our lake house projects designed by Bonin Architects and built by North Branch Construction. Framing on the project is nearing completion, and some of the unique structural elements have taken shape. One of the primary aesthetic features of this house is a curved lower roof, which creates a covered porch and wraps around nearly the whole building. A fully custom structural timber bracket supports portions of this roof to allow a significant overhang. Framing this roof has been no easy feat, but the results are clearly worth the effort! In addition to the main house, the boat house framing is complete and makes use of a fully exposed structure using a custom tension tie style framing and a gorgeous plank roof.
