Warehouse Construction Update
By Dan Martel, P.E.
Construction of a new warehouse/fulfillment center is well underway, and it’s great to see our design on paper coming to reality. We are the architects and structural engineers of record for this new 150,000sf building that utilizes a metal building system structure. Check out the progress!
Photo 1- Exterior footings with embedded vertical bars for the stem wall and column piers
Photo 2-Exterior wall construction complete at one set of loading docks. Including “hairpins” that will tie the column piers to the floor slab to help resist the large amount of outward lateral force.
Photo 3-Early in the construction of the metal building frame, including end walls columns on the right, sidewall columns on the left, and horizontal wind girts
Photo 4-Metal building walls and roof about 50% complete. This custom structural system is using steel fabricated in Texas with steel erectors from North Carolina.
