CAR DEALERSHIP RENOVATION

Project Description

Jewett Construction hired us to act as the MEP engineer for a car dealership renovation in Springfield, MA. The owners of this large dealership building wanted a significant renovation, including floor plan changes, new outlets for charging cars in the showroom, new light fixtures, new exterior signage, and several other components. Our design had to conform to the brand standards, so our effort included coordinating lighting and furniture requirements.

The floor plan changes required analysis and reworking of mechanical systems to ensure proper heating, cooling, and ventilation would be delivered to the new spaces. Team Engineering worked directly with GC on the project and provided construction phase services through project completion. The dealership needed to stay open for the duration of construction, so construction was broken into 3 phases, which required extra design consideration and coordination.
